The American Okinawan Karate Association (AOKA) is a membership based organization comprising of individuals, dojos and organizations that have a common interest in traditional Okinawan Isshin Ryu Karate. It functions for the mutual benefit of its members, serves as a center of support, and promotes Isshin Ryu Karate nationally and internationally.
The AOKA is defined by a united membership. We come together, from diverse backgrounds and experiences, as a community where we provide leadership, advocacy and resources that promote martial arts excellence and quality.
AOKA's mission is to promote education in the field of traditional Isshinryu Karate and to be a member based, value providing organization. We will work with all Isshin Ryu organizations and practitioners for the betterment of Isshin Ryu Karate.

Like our individual members, chartered dojos and organizations we’ve supported over the years, we rely on the passion, talent and energy of dedicated volunteers.
